Director of Human Resources

Department: Casino - Human Resources
Location: Farmington, NM

Position Summary: Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources, accomplishes the Human Resources Department’s strategic objectives by planning, organizing, and supervising all assigned functions required to operate and maintain department activities and services for the assigned property location in New Mexico or Arizona. Ensures recruitment and selection; compensation and benefits; training and development; records management; employee relations; policy and procedures formulation and implementation; and performance and evaluation programs are maintained in accordance with established laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field plus seven (7) years’ experience in managing Human Resources Department overseeing 300+ employees, to include three (3) years supervisory experience. Must have experience launching and managing enterprise-scale implementation projects. Must have a minimum of three (3) years Employee Relations experience to include but not limited to conducting employee investigations and completing investigative summaries and conflict resolutions. Navajo Preference in Employment Act and Tribal preference hiring experience preferred. Human Resources Professional Certification preferred. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Must possess a valid driver's license and must meet company insurability requirements. No felony, theft, or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain gaming license. Navajo preference.
